Two hospitalized after violent rear-end collision

Screen-Shot-2014-07-03-at-5.13.15-AM-150x150.pngSALINA- Two Kansas men were injured in a crash just after 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Saline County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara driven by Casey Dianne Carson, 20, Minneapolis was northbound on 9th Street just south of Interstate 70. The vehicle, traveling at a high rate of speed, rear-ended a 2005 Dodge Ram truck driven by Jacob Casey Schneider, 25, Salina. The truck had been stopped in the left hand turn lane. The collision caused the truck to hit a sign and the center divider.

Carson and Schneider were transported to Salina Regional Health Center.

The KHP reported Schneider was not wearing a seat belt.
