KANSAS CITY- A Kansas man was injured in an accident just after 4 p.m. on Tuesday in Wyandotte County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Toyota Camry driven by James M. Barnett, 80, Overland Park, was westbound on Interstate 70 in lane 4 of 5.
Another vehicle attempted to change lanes from 3 to 4.
The Camry driver made an evasive maneuver into the right lane and over corrected.
The vehicle went across all lanes of traffic and struck inside concrete barrier wall. The force of the impact then caused the vehicle to bounce off the wall and go back across all lanes of traffic and hit the outside guardrail.
Barnett was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The KHP reported he was properly restrained at the time of the accident.
