NASHVILLE (AP) – Trisha Yearwood says she used to look at her career like a baseball player, thinking she only had a few good years. She says after 23 years, she’s not done swinging the bat. Yearwood will release “Prize Fighter,” her first album in seven years. A release date was not given. She will tour with her husband, Garth Brooks, beginning September 4 in Chicago. Yearwood will also release a new cookbook, “Trisha’s Table,” in April. Her cooking show, “Trisha’s Southern Kitchen,” premieres its fifth season on the Food Network on Saturday. Yearwood says she never intended for her hosting gig to take over her music, but it’s difficult to do both. She says her two careers are “co-existing.”
