TOPEKA-  A Kansas teenager was injured in an accident just before 12:30 p.m. on Thursday in Shawnee County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by Samantha Rae Lee, 18, Topeka was westbound on U.S. 24 and attempted to take the ramp to southbound U.S. 75.

The vehicle drifted off the left side of the roadway, the driver swerved and the vehicle over turned.

Lee was transported to Stormont Vail.

The KHP reported she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
