KANSAS CITY- One person was injured in an accident just after 9 a.m. on Thursday in Wyandotte County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Peterbilt semi driven by Brian C. Mcafee, 37, Hutchinson, was westbound on Interstate 70 at the 670 interchange in Kansas City.

The semi attempted a lane change and struck a 2013 Buick driven by Gail R. Brown, 47, Kansas City, on the driver’s side. The collision caused the Buick to spin out.

Brown was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital. Mcafee was not injured.

The KHP reported both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
