Ellis County Emergency Management Director Bill Ring told Eagle Radio on Friday that the storm down between 12 and 15 power poles and forced the closure of Butterfield Trail Road south of Ellis.
He said is could be a day or so before power could be restored to the area and that Trego County officials were closing their end of Butterfield Trail Road. That area is served by Western Electric Cooperative.
Midwest Energy’s outage monitor showed small, scattered outages across its coverage area.
