HUTCHINSON — A Hutchinson area man was killed in a mowing accident Friday morning.

EMS and Reno County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a farm outside Hutchinson just before 10 a.m. after the man was found underneath the mower. According to authorities, the man was using a field mower pulled behind a small tractor when he apparently left the area he was mowing and crossed the roadway to his farmstead.

It was there the man either fell or was pulled under the mower. The man’s identity has not been released.
