A short-lived front brought rain, gusting winds and some hail to the area early Thursday evening.

Reports from west of Hays showed approximately a tenth of an inch of rain, while reports in town were just 0.02 inches.

Russell County had a report of 0.14 inches, while southwest Osborne County received just less than 1.5 inches.

Chances of more rain and thunderstorms persist through the weekend.
