NORTON — Two semi drivers were injured in an accident just after 10 a.m. Thursday in Norton County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1996 Freightliner semi driven by Tony Dale Jones, 44, Woodston, and a 2009 International semi driven by Alejandro C. Padilla, 39, were eastbound on Kansas 9 three miles east of Lenora.

The International attempted to make a left turn onto County Road W3. The Freightliner attempted to pass the International.

The International struck the Freightliner causing both vehicles to overturn.

Jones and Padilla were transported to Norton County Hospital. The KHP reported both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
