In the memo sent to Hays city commissioners this week, a report shows that 10 percent of the first SkyWest flights were either late or delayed and two were canceled. Of the flights that were delayed, three were 15 to 44 minutes late and one was 45 to 74 minutes late.
By comparison, in its last report to the city this spring, Great Lakes, the airport’s previous commercial carrier, reported 60 percent of its flights delayed or canceled.
According to the report, an “on-time” flight has a margin of error of 15 minutes. The full report can be found on the last page of this week’s Hays City Commission meeting agenda packet.
