The August skies once again helped out with some needed precipitation, although not much of it fell in Ellis County.
Overnight and into the early morning hours Wednesday, the front deposited between 0.04 and 0.13 inches of rain, with the most significant rainfall of 0.16 inches reported near Ellis.
In Ness County, 0.3 inches was reported, with a Trego County report showing a quarter-inch in the gauge.
Logan County and Thomas County were in the wettest part of the front, with nearly an inch reported near Colby and a report of 1.89 inches in central Logan County.
