Small plane goes down near Kansas airport

KHPEL DORADO, Kan- First responders were called to report of a small plane crash just after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday in Butler County

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1966 Cessna 310K piloted by Kent Stanley Lund, 54, Derby, was doing touch and goes at the El Dorado airport.

During take off the aircraft lost power in one engine. The pilot was able to land in a field north of the airport and two miles south of El Dorado.

Lund and a passenger Raymond Curtis Guderjahn, 48, Wichita were not injured.

The KHP reported both men were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
