The National Weather Service reported a brief rope tornado touched down near Milberger in Russell County at approximately 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The storm flipped tractors and broke windows, the Wichita office of the NWS reported.
“I saw the tornado north of town. I’ve spoken to several farmers who said they followed it for 7 or 8 miles as it skipped up and down,” said Monty Mai of Radke Implement in Milberger.
“It blew the windows out of three tractors and two combines. It also blew shingles off one of the homes in town.” Mai said. No injuries have been reported.
