Ribbon-cutting ceremony for rebuilt highway is scheduled

HOXIE — A ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the upcoming completion of the Kansas 23 pavement reconstruction will take place in early September.

The event is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 8 at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds.

Speakers will include Kansas Secretary of Transportation Mike King.

The event marks the near completion of the six-month project to reconstruct 19 miles of K-23 from Hoxie to the U.S. 83 junction. The scheduled completion of the project is Sept. 19.
