The Hays High boys soccer team dropped their season opener Tuesday in Garden City 4-1. The Buffs held a 2-0 lead at the half. Nathan Romme scored the Indians lone goal in the 51st minute off an assist from Logan Renz.

Conner Staab had nine saves in goal.

The 0-1 Indians host McPherson in their home opener Thursday at 4pm.
