The Hays High volleyball team opened their season with a pair of wins Tuesday night at the Hays High gym, defeating Larned (25-25, 25-13) and La Crosse (25-20, 25-17).

Tessa Stickel led the way with six kills and five digs in the opener against Larned. Madison Prough had 10 assists and four service aces. Ashlyn Parish had four kills and three solos blocks.

Stickel led the way with nine kills against La Crosse while Ashlyn Parish had six kills. Albany Schaffer recorded 13 digs. Madison Prough had 13 assists.  Kylie Brown had four solo blocks and two block assists.

The 2-0 Indians travel to Goodland September 9th.
