Kan. semi driver hospitalized after vehicle overturns

Screen Shot 2014-07-03 at 5.13.15 AMOSAGE CITY — A Kansas semi driver was injured in an accident just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday in Osage County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Freightliner semi driven by Sharon Marie Johnson, 59, Williamsburg, was traveling southbound on Kansas 170 at 293 Street. The vehicle drifted off the roadway.

The weight of truck and slope of the ditch caused the vehicle to overturn on the left side of roadway.

Johnson was transported to Coffey County Hospital.

The KHP reported she was properly restrained at the time of the accident.
