Frances L. Wright, 100, Hays, died Monday, September 08, 2014 at the Via Christi Villages.
She was born January 16, 1914 in Calhan, Colorado the daughter of Arthur S. and Nellie R. (Dewell) Miller. She assembled aircraft at Boeing during World War II and was a ward secretary in addition to being a housewife and Mother.
On August 7, 1943 she married Ray E. Wright in Ft. Monmouth, NJ. He died in March of 2007. She was baptized into the Evangelistic Church and was a graduate of Fowler High School. She enjoyed cooking and baking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Richard Wright and wife Mary of Hays, a brother Karl Miller of Prescott, AZ, grandchildren, Christopher Wright, Tim Wright, Mitch Wright, Carson Wright, and Robin Wright.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Dr. Timothy Ray Wright, a brother Emerson Miller, and a sister Lois Chipman.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 pm on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine Street. Burial will be in the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in WaKeeney, Kansas. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
