The Ellis County Commission will attempt to finalize temporary office space for courthouse and law enforcement staff at Monday night’s commission meeting.
County staff has been looking a different locations to house staff during the yearlong remodel and construction at the courthouse and Law Enforcement building.
The former N.E.W. call center building was identified as a potential location but recent concerns about keeping judges and their staff separate from the county attorney’s office and the law enforcement has officials looking for another location.
In other business:
• The commission will consider replacing approximately 450 fire sprinkler heads at the 718 Main Administrative Building. Many of the sprinklers are corroded and need replaced.
• Public Works Director Mike Graf will present cost estimates to the commission for improvement to 55th Street, 230th Avenue and Feedlot Road.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Monday at the Ellis County Courthouse. Click HERE for a complete agenda.
