Wet, windy Thursday

Friday will be even cooler with a second cold frontal passage early in the morning. This airmass will be colder with northwest winds 25 to 35 mph for a few hours in the morning. Highs will only be in the 60 to 64 degree range. Patchy frost can be expected from Scott City to Wakeeney to Hays as winds die out overnight Friday Night into Saturday Morning.

Today Showers and thunderstorms likely before 11am, then a chance of showers between 11am and 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 66. Breezy, with a north northwest wind 17 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight Mostly clear, with a low around 41. North northwest wind 6 to 10 mph becoming west southwest after midnight.
