A strong cold front moving through western Kansas this morning will result in northwest winds of 25 to 40 mph for a couple hours early this morning. By late morning, winds will decrease to around 20 to 30 mph with a further decrease by afternon to 15 to 20 mph. Cooler temperatures will result, with afternoon temperatures not reaching much above 60 for many locations. Tonight, winds will die off and temperatures will fall into the 30s with patchy frost developing from Wakeeney to Hays to Larned.
