VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) – Ted Nugent has earned $45,000 for a concert he didn’t play.

The Vancouver Colombian reports booking company Northwest Events and Marketing paid Nugent the settlement after his appearance at the Clark County Fair in Washington State was canceled.

When Nugent’s appearance was announced in April, critics circulated a petition to get Nugent off the bill.

State fair organizers say the cancellation was not because of the petition but because of a contractual conflict.
