LAWRENCE- Two Kansas women were injured in an accident just before 11:30 a.m. on Monday in Douglas County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1996 Dodge Ram driven by Crystal Martin, 30, Lawrence, was west bound on U.S. 40 five miles west of Lawrence. The driver over corrected after driving off the edge of the roadway.

The truck crossed the center lane, entered the south ditch, struck an electrical pole and rolled.

Martin and a passenger in the truck Stephanie Silvers, 44, Lawrence, were transported to Stormont Vail in Topeka.

The KHP reported Silvers was not wearing a seat belt.
