COLBY- A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just before 12:30 p.m. on Sunday in Thomas County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Chevy Impala driven by Lynette R. Chapman, 62, Colby was southbound on County Road 11 eight miles west of Colby when it exited the roadway, hit the guardrail and came to rest at the bottom of a bridge.

Chapman was transported to Citizens Medical Center. A child in the vehicle was not injured.
The KHP reported Chapman was not wearing a seat belt.
