Republican Rep.Sue Boldra of Hays will retain her 111th state district seat.

She defeated Democratic challenger James Leiker, also of Hays, by a vote of 4,747 to 3,629, or 57% to 43%.

Voter turnout in Ellis County was 57.41%.

Results are unofficial until canvassed by the Ellis County Commission Monday, November 10, at 5 p.m.
