Two adults, one-year-old hospitalized after crash during chase

police chaseWICHITA- Two adults and a child were injured in an accident during a police pursuit of a stolen car just after 8 a.m. on Tuesday in Sedgwick County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Toyota passenger car driven by Kenneth Wade Libich, 22, Wichita, was northbound on George Washington Blvd approaching Pawnee in Wichita during a police chase.

The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, ran a red light and struck another Toyota passenger car driven by Rodelio Macuse Gales, 34, Wichita, that was eastbound on Pawnee

Libich, a passenger in his car Destiny Nichole Brown, 32, Wichita and a child in Gales’ car were transported to Wesley Medical Center. Gales was not injured.

The KHP reported Libich and Brown were not wearing seat belts.
