WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) – AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been charged in New Zealand with attempting to procure murder.
Rudd is also charged with threatening to kill and with possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.
He made a brief appearance in court today and is out on bail.
One of the conditions of his bail is he must not have any contact with anyone involved in the alleged plot.
Neither Rudd’s lawyer nor a band publicist could be reached for comment.
Last month, Rudd was conspicuously absent from AC/DC’s official promotion photo for their “Rock Or Bust” album.
