NESS CITY — A Kansas man died in an accident just before 9 p.m. Tuesday in Ness County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 GMC Envoy driven by Joshua W. Young, 34, Utica, was southbound on DD Road one mile east of Brownell.

The vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail, entered the east ditch and struck a fence.

Young was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Fitzgerald Funeral Home.

The KHP reported he was properly restrained at the time of the accident.
