JUNCTION CITY- The Ron and Becky Bramlage family were killed in a plane crash in Florida on June 7, 2012 as they were returning to Junction City from a vacation in the Bahamas.
The National Transportation Safety Board has released their final report on the plane crash that claimed the lives of the six family members, including their four children, Brandon, Boston, Beau, and Roxanne.
The just released probable cause report by the NTSB determined the accident to be “The failure of the pilot to maintain control of the airplane while climbing to cruise altitude in instrument meterological conditions following disconnect of the autopilot. The reason for the autopilot disconnect could not be determined during post accident testing. Contributing to the accident was the pilot’s lack of experience in high-performance, turbo-propeller airplanes and in Instrument meteorological conditions.”
