CONCORDIA- A Kansas woman died and a child was injured in an accident just after 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day in Cloud County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Chevy Silverado driven by Timothy Allen Brush, 29, Concordia, was westbound on 8th Street in Concordia.
The vehicle made a left turn onto U.S. 81 and clipped a southbound 2004 Buick LeSabre driven by Marilyn R. Sothers, 73, Scandia, in the left rear quarter-panel.
The Buick spun to the left across U.S. 81 in front of a 2014 Dodge pickup driven by Janel L. Haumont, 41, Turon, that was northbound on U.S. 81.
The pickup broadsided the Buick on the passenger side.
Sothers was transported to Cloud County Health Center where she died.
A 12-year old passenger in the Dodge was also transported to Cloud County Health Center.
Brush, Haumont and two other passengers in the Dodge were not injured.
The KHP reported Sothers was not wearing a seat belt.
