Both the Hays High and TMP-Marian boys basketball teams begin the season ranked in the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association Poll. The Indians, who went 23-2 and finished fourth at the 5A state tournament are ranked third in the 4A Division 1 poll. The Monarchs, who went 13-10 and advanced to the sub-state finals are ranked eighth in 4A Division 2.

The Victoria boys are ranked eighth in 1A Division 1 and the Ellis girls’ are sixth in 2A.
