Weekend system could bring wintry weather back to NW Kan.

Winter weather could be making its way into northwest Kansas this weekend.

The National Weather Service said Tuesday that an upper-level storm system will sweep across the area late this weekend, bringing with it the potential for gusting winds and snow accumulation.

“Give the uncertainty of the track of this weekend’s storm system, it is too early to tell snowfall amounts and where the higehr snowfall will occur,” the NWS statement said.

Most of western Kansas was included in the NWS’s “special weather statement.”
