HUTCHINSON– A Kansas man was killed and a woman was injured in an accident just before 5 p.m. on Friday in Reno County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Chevy Colorado driven by Leo Vern Krehbiel, 82, Pretty Prairie, was northbound on Kansas 14 and came to a stop at the Intersection of Kansas 96.

The vehicle failed to yield right of way and collided with a 2011 Ford Fusion driven by Mary Teresa Sobba, 44, Wichita, that was southbound on Kansas 14.

Krehbiel and Sobba were transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.  Krehbiel died Friday night.

The KHP reported both drivers were properly restrained at the time of accident.
