Hays and Ellis County received just a dusting of snow as a result of Wednesday night’s front, with early reports showing 0.03 inches of snow.

Slightly more snowfall fell farther east, with Ellsworth and Saline counties reporting nearly a half-inch of snow.

The freezing drizzle that preceded the snow led to slick roadways, however, with a number of accidents reported on Interstate 70 Wednesday evening.

The chance for additional snowfall or precipitation ends this morning, with skies expected to be clear through the weekend.
