GREAT BEND- A fire on Tuesday afternoon in Great Bend destroyed a mobile home in the 300 Block of Locust Street

The Great Bend Fire Department reported the fire had virtually engulfed the home by the time firefighters arrived.

The only occupant of the house Bernardino Sanchez was home at the time of the fire but managed to get out without any injuries.

Officials say Sanchez had no insurance.

The cause of the fire is listed as accidental and no dollar amount of damage has been assessed at this time.
