A free “health club for your mind” and support to help you complete a New Year’s resolution and more is offered through High Plains Mental Health.
According to HMPH Outreach Coordinator Ken Loos, the mental health organization recently purchased software for anyone who works or lives within the 20 counties the agency serves in northwest Kansas.
Loos said the new wellness tool is a website called MyStrength.com.
Anyone can access the site to receive confidential and secure resources for help with a variety of common issues such as completing a New Year’s resolution; coping with grief, anxiety or depression; improving sleep; increasing motivation; and more.
“You will be able to personalize the homepage,” Loos said. “The bottom line is a lot of people go through things, and this web-based program has a lot of evidence-based good ideas and good support.”
Loos added the program is “not a substitute for therapy but a great resource for self-help.
“We hope as many people as possible check it out,” he said.
