FREDONIA – Two people were injured in an accident just after 8 p.m. on Friday in Wilson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Toyota Corolla driven by Kevin Norton, 55, Wichita, was westbound on U.S.400 five miles east of Fredonia.
The driver was attempting to pass a semi then pulled back in the right lane and lost control of the vehicle.
The Toyota spun into the path of an eastbound 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Steven Gordon, 49, Woodland Park, CO.
The two vehicles collided and the Jeep traveled off the road and rolled. An eastbound 2013 Ford pickup also hit the Toyota as it was spinning.
Norton and Gordon were transported to Wesley Medical Center.
The four occupants in the Ford were not injured.
The KHP reported all were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
