Bids for four big NW Kan. road projects approved by KDOT

TOPEKA — The Kansas Department of Transportation announces approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects in Kansas. The projects include four significant projects in northwest Kansas.

The projects include:

• Phillips County: U.S. 183, from the Phillips/Rooks county line north to the east junction of U.S. 183/U.S. 36, conventional seal, 13.2 miles, Mid America Road Builders Inc., Platte City, Mo, $629,763.70.

• Sherman County: Interstate 70, I‑70/K‑253 junction (Edson interchange) east to 0.5 mile east of the Sherman/Thomas county line, special, 8.4 miles, Venture Corp., Great Bend, Ks, $361,758.00.

• Sherman County: Interstate 70, from the Kansas/Colorado state line east to Caruso interchange, special, 12.7 miles, Venture Corp., Great Bend, KS, $764,242.00.

Gove County: Kansas 23, from 0.45 mile south of the south city limits of Gove, north to the Gove/Sheridan county line; K‑23 Spur, from the I‑70/K‑23 Spur junction north to the K‑23/K‑23 Spur junction, conventional seal, 15.4 miles, Mid America Road Builders Inc., Platte City, Mo, $412,633.55.
