State Rep. Travis Couture-Lovelady, R-Palco, received committee assignments for the upcoming legislative session.

Couture-Lovelady will serve on the Judiciary Committee, the Commerce, Labor and Economic Development Committee, and will be the vice-chairman of the Federal and State Affairs Committee.

These committee assignments are in addition to serving as Majority Caucus Chairman in House Leadership. Couture-Lovelady also serves as Chairman of the Western Kansas Caucus.

The 2015 session is scheudled to begin at 2 p.m. Jan. 12.
