BAVARIA – The Kansas Highway Patrol and other first responders are on the scene of a multi-vehicle fatality accident in Saline County.

Two fatalities are being reported. Five people involved in three vehicles according to the KHP.

The crash occurred just after 8 a.m. and shut down traffic in both directions on Old Highway 40 southwest of Salina.

The highway between Muir and Hedville is closed until early afternoon.

KDOT is working to direct traffic.

The KHP Critical Highway Accident Response Team is on the scene. KHP is also sending their plane to get aerial photos of the crash scene.
