After his dismissal from the Budget and Agricultural committees by House Speaker John Boehner in late 2012, First District Representative Tim Huelskamp voted against Boehner’s re-election during today’s election’s.

Huelskamp was one of 25 Republicans voting against the Ohio representative’s re-election to the top spot in the U.S. House, instead voting for Florida Rep. Daniel Webster. Despite the tea party rebellion, Boehner was voted into his third term as the Speaker of the House.

Before entering the chambers, Huelskamp posted on his official Facebook page: “I am not voting for Boehner. Honest. Principled. Conservative Leadership is what I want.”

After the elections, Huelskamp posted the names of the other 25 representatives who voted against Boehner’s re-election.

The Senate also convened Tuesday for the first time under Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
