ATWOOD – An Atwood man convicted of a sex crime against a child was sentenced today to more than 17 years in prison, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt reported in a media release.
Robbie Joe Houk, 65, was sentenced in Rawlins County District Court by Judge Glenn D. Schiffner to 214 months in prison for aggravated indecent liberties with a child to be served in the Kansas Department of Corrections. The conviction stemmed from a crime that occurred in September 2012.
The case was investigated by the Atwood Police Department. Assistant Attorney General Nicole Romine of Schmidt’s office prosecuted the case.
