WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Police say a man was wearing a Joker mask and black spandex when he robbed a pizza restaurant in Wichita this week.

The Wichita Eagle reports police are asking anyone with information about the robbery of Picasso’s Pizzeria to call Crime Stoppers.

Authorities said Wednesday that the armed man, wearing the mask from the well-known Batman TV series, robbed the restaurant on Tuesday night.

An employee says he thought he locked the back door to the restaurant, which is how the thief got into the business.

The worker says when he came out of a side room, he saw the robber behind the counter taking money from the cash register. Police say the masked intruder also stole the worker’s cellphone.
