The Hays Police Department is looking for the driver of a white full-sized pickup with stickers in the rear-view window that is believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run incident this week.

According to HPD Lt. Brandon Wright, officers responded to the incident at around 7:45 p.m. Sunday on the 200 block of  West 27th.

Wright said the driver of a GMC Canyon pickup was traveling east on West 27th when it was reportedly struck from behind by the white pickup, also traveling east.

The impact caused the driver of the GMC to spin out of control, leave the roadway and come to a stop on a retaining wall against a fence.

The driver of the white pickup that hit the GMC left the scene of the accident.

No injuries were reported in the accident, but the GMC was towed from the scene.
