According to the latest on-time report, 69 percent of SkyWest’s flights in and out of Hays Regional Airport in December were on time or delayed for less than 15 minutes. Of the 107 flights, 13 percent were delayed and 19 percent were canceled.

Of the flights that were delayed by more than 15 minutes, 10 were 15 to 44 minutes late, two were 75 to 104 minutes late and another two were 105 or more minutes late.

Eight of the 19 flights were canceled between Dec. 29 and 31 when several winter storms hit much of the United States, which caused several delays and cancellations within the United System.

SkyWest Airlines will soon change their schedule at the Hays Airport in order to accommodate their transition to an all-jet fleet.

The report will be presented to the Hays City Commission at a regular meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at City Hall. Click HERE for the meeting agenda.
