RANDOLPH – One person was injured in an accident just after 4:30 p.m. on Friday in Riley County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Dodge Avenger driven by Acacia R. Brenner, 20, Randolph, was southbound on U.S. 77 at Randolph Street in the city of Randolph.

The vehicle turned eastbound and hit a 2007 Dodge Nitro driven by Ruth E. Maschmeier, 50, Marysville, that was northbound.

Maschmeier was transported to Mercy Regional Medical Center.

The KHP reported Brenner was possibly injured but refused transport for treatment. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident according to the KHP.
