WICHITA – A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just after 7 a.m. on Friday in Sedgwick County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a Elizabeth A. Kerschen, 32, Wichita, was southbound on Interstate 235 just north of Central in the outside lane.

Another vehicle from 13th Street merged in front of the Chrysler.

The driver swerved to avoid a crash, lost control of the Chrysler and struck the outside retaining wall.

Kerschen was transported to Wesley Medical Center.

The KHP reported they were unsure if she was wearing a seat belt.
