MARYSVILLE -Law enforcement authorities are investigating report of a possible impersonation of an officer.
The Marysville police department reported in a media release that just after 5 a.m. on Wednesday, an individual was stopped by a white pickup truck with a single red light.
The suspect’s vehicle was blocking 2nd road at U.S. 36 west of Marysville in Marshall County. The suspect then followed the victim and made the stop on U.S. 36.
The suspect told the driver he had a search warrant for the vehicle and demanded to search the vehicle. The victim drove off since he didn’t believe the suspect was a real police officer.
The suspect followed the victim for a mile.
The suspect was wearing a full black uniform with a badge. He is described as six feet tall with brown hair and a dark mustache.
The white truck has chrome tube running boards with a magnetic antenna on the box.
