The Hays Recreation Commission is looking for community members with talent to share.
“It can be anything,” said Haley Nixon, HRC’s program director for adult leisure. “We have had bee-keeping classes, jewelry design, dance, card making, cooking — all sort of classes.”
Nixon said instructors can choose the class fee, while the HRC provides the venue and promotion of the class via email, the HRC website and the Center’s spring/summer catalog.
“All our instructors receive 80 percent of the profits while also providing the opportunity to be involved and meet new people,” she said
Nixon said those who would like to teach a class need to contact the HRC by Feb. 20 to be listed in the 2015 HRC spring/summer program guide.
However, Nixon said she is looking for new classes and instructors year-round.
For details, contact Nixon at (785) 623-2650 or email at [email protected].
