As we enter the coldest climatological week of the year, the atmosphere has other plans as far as temperatures go. Look for afternoon temperatures above 50 degrees today through Monday with Friday likely being the warmest day into the lower 60s for some across southwest Kansas! A fairly strong front will push through Saturday, but the temperature behind this front will not be of arctic origin and only a slight fall in temperatures is expected. The winds, however, will be quite strong on Saturday out of the northwest.
